Lanier Released by: Speedyman11

Lanier is a 0.375-mile paved oval racetrack located just outside Braselton, Georgia. The track opened in 1982 as a dirt track, and was paved in the mid-1980s. hosted the NASCAR Busch Grandnational Series from 1988 through 1992, the ARCA Racing Series in 2005 and the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour in 2008 and 2009.  Before the track ceased operations in 2011,  it ran under the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series banner and featured Super Late Models, SuperTrucks, Outlaw Late Models, Mini Stocks, Legend and Bandolaro cars as well as other divisions for it's weekly racing program.

Lanier Raceplex is located across from the Road Atlanta motor racing circuit. New photos surfaced online in August & October 2013 showing the 0.375 mi track in disrepair after having closed in 2011.

In 2014, Lanier National Speedway was purchased by Jim Downing and is being renamed Lanier Raceplex.

This track is how the track looked like in 2011, the last year it raced under the Nascar banner.

This track is a conversion from NR2003. Permission was given to us by the guys from PST, J.R. Franklin.

The way we have the AI's and physics setup for this track, it works very well with Short Track mods like the Vintage Modifieds, and also the soon to be released Modified Tour mod, schedule to be released later this month.

Enjoy,

Absolutely love it, Speedyman11.  (Y)

This track is so unique because it is slick, tight and has character with the worn surface feel to it. Love what you were able to accomplish with this one. I look forward to seeing more cool short tracks that we can use for various mods. I've been running your Langley and Waterford a bunch too. I appreciate any new short tracks seen in real life being made. Thank you.

Glad to see LNS lives on. I got to race there a couple of times through my old job. Actually won once, in an old converted Cutlass Supreme. Good times.

Great work to the converters!
